Why a holiday home works well for families

Children and adults rarely follow exactly the same routine. Younger children need different breaks from teenagers, and parents do not always want an outing every day. A private holiday home allows an early breakfast, lunch at home and different plans within the same group.

Villa Nova Ventoux sleeps up to eight, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen, living room and covered terrace. You have the whole property to yourselves. Two families can stay together if the sleeping arrangements suit them; agree room allocation and shared outings in advance so everyone knows their own place.

A private pool and enclosed garden

Your own pool gives you freedom to stay close to home. Swim before an outing or spend the whole afternoon at the villa. The 2 × 8 metre pool is in an enclosed garden and is heated from March through October; temperature also depends on the weather.

The sturdy, closable pool cover can support an adult’s weight. Together with the fully enclosed garden, it is an important family-friendly feature. Close the cover properly and completely whenever the pool is not in use. Adult supervision is still needed; the cover is not a play or walking surface. The confirmed-booking guest area explains its operation. Garden and terrace space make meals, shade and quiet evenings easy to organise.

Bedrooms, high chair and everyday essentials

Two bedrooms have double beds and the third has two bunk beds. Check which beds suit the children, especially younger ones, before deciding how to use the eight sleeping places. A high chair and an upper-floor stair gate are available, while linen and towels are included.

Air conditioning throughout the house, a washing machine and drying rack are helpful during longer family stays. Ask beforehand about particular baby equipment or room arrangements, and pack on the basis of what has been confirmed. The kitchen includes a fridge, hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher for breakfast and simple meals at home.

Four ideas for a family outing

Parc Spirou Provence in Monteux is an option for a day of themed attractions. Check minimum heights and accompanying-adult conditions on the official attraction pages so you know which rides children of different ages can enjoy. Wave Island, also in Monteux, is a water park: check activities against age and swimming ability, alongside its calendar and entry rules.

Mont Serein offers summer activities such as tubing and tree climbing in a mountain setting. Ask what runs on your dates and which age or height limits apply. Ventoux Aventure near Mormoiron offers tree-climbing courses; choose a suitable course and verify its rules. A shorter outdoor activity may suit younger children better than a very full day.

Small outings count too

A walk to Malaucène, choosing something at the market and a café break can make a complete morning. The centre is around 800 metres from the villa and market day is Wednesday. Keep hot-weather walks short and early, with a clear goal such as a viewpoint or drink stop.

For routes outside the village, ask the tourist office about suitable paths and current conditions. Family members who prefer cycling can follow their own programme: the villa has lockable bike storage and is close to the Ventoux climb. Everyone can meet again for lunch or a free afternoon at the property.

A relaxed schedule and direct booking

Keep space in your plans. A morning without appointments is welcome after a busy outing, letting you decide later whether to visit the village or stay home. Before booking, review bedrooms, dates and guest numbers. The booking page shows current availability and prices; ask about facilities that matter to your family.

Your online request receives an acknowledgement, followed by our personal review and confirmation. The confirmation links to your private guest area for practical information and guest names and dates of birth. You can ask questions or request changes there, viewing a price indication for different dates or guest numbers. Requests are reviewed before the confirmed booking changes.
